Error Indicator

If an error occurs, the scanner stops operating and the indicator light flashes. Try one or more of the following solutions:

• Make sure the interface setup is correct.

• Make sure the scanner is properly connected to the computer.

• Turn the scanner off and then back on again to reset it.

If the problem still exists, the error indicates one of the following problems:

Fatal error

This type of error indicates one of the following problems:

• The fluorescent lamp needs to be replaced.

• The scanner is malfunctioning.

• The option is disordered.

• The transportation lock lever is not released.

Check that the transportation lock is released. Also, check the installed option, if any, for problems. Next, turn the scanner off and then back on again. If this does not correct the problem, consult your dealer.

For the Perfection 2580 Photo users

Following problem may occur to the Perfection 2580 photo.
