This section guides you through the procedures for basic printing from the printer driver.

Note:
If you want to print without margins on all four sides of the paper, it is easiest to print from PhotoQuicker. For details, see Borderless Printing from EPSON PhotoQuicker.

Driver settings for Windows

Open the file you want to print.

Access the printer driver.
Accessing the Printer Software for Windows

Click the Main tab, and select Borders or Borderless for your print layout.

Make print settings. See the following section for details on the print settings.

Select Portrait (tall) or Landscape (wide) to change the orientation of your printout.

Click OK to close the printer driver settings dialog box.

Print your data. After finishing all steps above, start printing. Print one test copy and examine the results before printing an entire job.

Remove each sheet from the output tray as it is printed.

Driver settings for Mac OS 9

Open the file you want to print.

Access the Page Setup dialog box.

Select Borders or Borderless for your print layout.

Select Portrait (tall) or Landscape (wide) to change the orientation of your printout.

Click OK to save the settings and close the Page Setup dialog box.

Access the Print dialog box.

Make print settings. See the following section for details on the print settings.

Click Print to start printing.

Note:
Print one test copy and examine the results before printing an entire job.

Remove each sheet from the output tray as it is printed.

Driver settings for Mac OS X

Open the file you want to print.

Access the Page Setup dialog box.
Accessing the Printer Software for Mac OS X

Select PictureMate as the Format for setting. When printing with standard margins, select PictureMate (Borders).

Note:
If PictureMate (Borders) is not added in the Print Center, the border printing feature is not available. Add PictureMate (Borders) in the Print Center as follows;
Turn on your printer, open the Applications folder on your hard drive, then open the Utilities folder and double-click the Print Center icon. Click the Add icon (for Mac OS X 10.1.x, click Add Printer) in the Printer List dialog box and select EPSON USB from the pop-up menu. Select PictureMate from the Product list, then select Borders from the Page Setup pop-up menu. Click Add, then confirm that PictureMate (Borders) appears in the Printer List dialog box. Close the Printer List dialog box.

Make the appropriate Paper Size and Orientation settings.

Click OK to close the Page Setup dialog box.

Access the Print dialog box.
Accessing the Printer Software for Mac OS X

Select PictureMate or PictureMate (Borders) as the Print setting, so that it matches the Format for the setting you made in the Page Setup dialog box in step 3. Then make the Copies & Pages settings.

Note:
  • The Copies & Pages settings available are a standard feature of Mac OS X. See your operating system's documentation for details.

  • Always match the Format for setting in the Page Setup dialog box and the Printer setting in the Print dialog box. Otherwise the data may not be printed correctly.

Select Print Settings from the pop-up menu.

Make the appropriate Quality and Color Option settings.

Click Print to start printing.

Print one test copy and examine the results before printing an entire job.

Remove each sheet from the output tray as it is printed.
