Using the Multi Photo Feeder

Replacing the Paper Path Guide

After you have used the Multi Photo Feeder for a long time, a line of dots begin to appear on scanned images, or the film on the inside of Multi Photo Feeder cover bends. If this happens, follow the steps below to replace the paper path guide with the spare one that comes with your Multi Photo Feeder.

Turn off the scanner.

Disconnect the Multi Photo Feeder from the scanner.

Put the Multi Photo Feeder on the stand as shown below.

While holding the edge of the Multi Photo Feeder, slightly detach it and then remove the paper path guide as shown below.

Attach the new paper path guide correctly into place as shown below, making sure the triangle mark on its side is facing up.

Note:

Be sure the paper path guide is correctly set (the triangle mark on its side is facing up); otherwise, it may cause a document jam.

Do not touch the film part of the paper path guide to prevent it being bent.

Do not attach the paper path guide by force. If the paper path guide is in the correct position, you can easily attach it without use of any force.

Be careful not to let the paper path guide hit the stand when you exchange the paper path guide.
