EpsonNet WinAssist dialog box
Setting menus
This section describes the elements and uses of the EpsonNet WinAssist dialog box.
Three categories, ALL,IPX, and IP are available in Tree view. The default selection is ALL. When a category is selected, the print server information in that category is displayed in the List view. If the route "EPSON PrintServer" is selected, the category list is displayed in the List view.
The information for the print server in the selected category is displayed in the List view. The printer model, MAC address, IP address, Network address, and print server name are displayed. When you click an item header, the list is sorted in ascending or descending order depending on the item you click.

The IPX category will be displayed only when IPX for NetWare (communication protocol) is used and you have logged in to the NetWare server or the NDS context as a supervisor. |
Select the printer you want to configure from the List view, and click the Configuration button to configure the Internal Print Server.
Select the printer you want to configure from the List view, and then click the Launch Browser button. EpsonNet WebAssist will start to configure the Internal Print Server.
EpsonNet WinAssist has the following menus and sub menus in its menu bar.
This section explains the optional settings in the Tool menu. You can make Time-out and Search option settings. For settings to take effect, select Refresh from the Tool menu or restart EpsonNet WinAssist.
Sets the length of time before a time-out occurs (between 2 and 120 seconds). A communication error occurs if this time is exceeded. The default value is 6 seconds.
To search for print servers in other segments, use Search Options (IP) in EpsonNet WinAssist.

Displays the IP addresses that have been registered. |
Add button |
Registers the IP address (up to 20 addresses). Do not add the local address. |
Delete button |
Deletes an IP address from the List box. |

To search for print servers in other network segments, use Search Options (IPX) in EpsonNet WinAssist.

Display time can be reduced by selecting this check box and choosing the target networks, so that unnecessary or unwanted information is not acquired. |
All Network Address |
Displays all current network addresses. |
Select Search Address |

Select an address in All Network Address, then click Add to add an address to Select Search Address (up to 256 address). |
Remove button |
Removes an address from the Select Search Address list. |

A password is required to configure the Internal Print Server. There is no default password. When you click OK in the setting dialog box or click the Return to default button, the Password dialog box appears.
To set a password or when you want to change the current password, click Change. |
In the Administrator password dialog box, type a password (up to 20 characters) and click OK. Passwords are case sensitive. |

You can configure the Internal Print Server for TCP/IP by making the necessary settings on the TCP/IP menu.
