Printing on envelopes

When printing on envelopes, note the following:

• You can load up to 10 envelopes at a time in the sheet feeder.

Note:

The folding quality and thickness of envelopes varies widely. If the total thickness of the stack of envelopes exceeds 10 mm, press each envelope in the stack flat before loading. If print quality declines when a stack of envelopes is loaded, load one envelope at a time.

• Do not use envelopes that are curled or folded.

• Flatten the envelope flaps before loading.

• Avoid using envelopes that are too thin as they may curl during printing.

• EPSON recommends the use of black ink when printing on envelopes. Should you decide to use another ink color of ink, set a wider margin in order to prevent ink from smearing across the bottom portion of the envelope.

• The printable area specified below is recommended when printing in black ink.

Access the printer driver.

Accessing the Printer Software for Windows

Accessing the Printer Software for Macintosh

Select Plain Paper as the Media Type setting on the Main menu (Windows) or in the Print dialog box (Macintosh).

Select the appropriate envelope size from the available Paper Size settings on the Paper menu (Windows) or in the Page Setup dialog box (Macintosh).

Select Landscape as the Orientation setting.

Click OK to close the driver settings dialog box.

Print your data.

Note:

The Economy Custom mode and the Economy setting under Print Quality in the Advanced dialog box are not available when printing envelopes.
