Changing the SCSI ID Number or SCSI Board

If you are using your scanner with Windows 98 or 2000 and you want to change the scanner's SCSI ID number or replace the SCSI board with a new one, follow the steps below.

Note:
If you do not follow these steps, your scanner or computer may not operate correctly.

Double-click the Scanners and Cameras icon in Control Panel.

Select your scanner in the installed devices list, then click Remove.

Click OK and close the dialog box.

Shut down Windows 98 or 2000 and turn off your computer and scanner.

Change the SCSI ID number using the rotary switch, or replace the SCSI board. See the tables below as a guide to change the ID number.

*  Scanner will not work if selected.

Caution:
Do not set the SCSI ID to an ID number that is already assigned to another device otherwise the computer, scanner, and other devices will not operate properly.

Turn on your scanner and then your computer.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

Note:
If the EPSON Scanners Driver Disk is requested, insert the Scanner Software CD in the CD-ROM drive and make sure to specify the correct drive letter, the EPSON folder, the folder of your preferred language, and the Win98 (for Windows 98 users) or Win2000 (for Windows 2000 users) folder as the location.
