Transporting the Printer

If you need to transport your printer, carefully repack it using its original box and packing materials.

Caution:

Two or more people should carry the printer, lifting it by the correct positions as shown below.

Follow these steps to repack the printer:

Turn off the printer.

Open the printer cover and remove the imaging cartridge.

Caution:

Do not expose the imaging cartridge to light any longer than necessary.

Remove all paper from the MP tray.

Remove the standard lower paper cassette from the printer.

Remove the loaded paper from the lower paper cassette.

Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet; then disconnect the interface cable from the printer.

Remove the optional lower paper cassette unit, if installed.

Repack the printer in its original box using the protective materials that came with it.
