Printing with IPP (Windows Me Only)

Setting up the printer from a browser
Setting up the printer from the Add Printer wizard

This section explains how to print using Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) in Windows Me. You can connect to a printer through IPP in the following two ways.

Note:
Be sure that the IPP client is installed in your computer.

Setting up the printer from a browser

In your browser, go to the URL of the printer you want to connect to.

If you are connecting to a printer on a Windows 2000 print server, you can go to http://servername/printers to browse through a list of all printers on that server, then click the name of the printer you want to connect to.

Under Printer Actions, click Connect.
