Registering form overlay data on an Optional Hard Disk Drive

This procedure can be performed only by a network administrator running Windows XP/2000/NT 4.0. Use the following steps to register a form overlay.

Prepare the form overlay data on the local hard disk drive.

To access the printer driver from Windows, click Start, point to Settings, and then select Printers. Next, right-click the EPSON AL-CXXXX Advanced icon and then select Properties.

Click the Optional Settings tab.

Click Register. The Register to HDD dialog box appears.

Select the overlay data name from the Form Names list, and then click Register.

Note:

Only form names that can be registered appear in the Form Name list. A form name that contains characters other than letters and numbers is not displayed. Monochrome form overlay data that has been made on a monochrome printer or printer in a black mode is not displayed.

If you want to distribute a sheet of form data list to the clients, click the Print List button to print the list.

Click OK to close the window.

Deleting the form overlay data in the Hard Disk Drive

This procedure can be performed only by a network administrator running Windows XP/2000/NT 4.0. Use the following steps to delete a form overlay.

To access the printer driver from Windows, click Start, point to Settings, and then select Printers. Next, right-click the EPSON AL-CXXXX Advanced icon and then select Properties.

Select the Optional Settings tab.

Click the Delete button.

To delete all forms, select the Delete All radio button and then click the Delete button. To delete one or more forms, enter the form ID in the Form Name text box and then click the Delete button. If you want to check the registered forms, click the Print List button to print a list of registered forms.

Click the Back button.

Click OK to close the window.
