How to / Installing and Removing Options
Printing a Status Sheet
To confirm that the options are installed correctly, print a status sheet through the printer driver.
Follow the steps to print a status sheet.
For Windows users

Make sure that paper is loaded in the printer.

Turn on the printer. It is on when the | side of the power switch is pushed in.

The ready indicator light flashes to show that the printer is warming up.
|

Make sure that your computer is turned on and that Windows is running.
|
|
Click Start, point to Settings and click Printers.
|
|
Right-click the EPSON AL-C1000 Advanced icon, and click Properties.
|
|
Click the Optional Settings tab and then click Status Sheet. The printer starts printing a status sheet.
|
|
Check that the printer has printed the status sheet clearly and that any installed options are included on the status sheet.

If the status sheet does not correctly show your installed options, check the options again to make sure that they are connected securely to the printer.

If you are unable to get the printer to print a correct status sheet, contact your dealer.

You can manually enable the installed options through the printer driver on Windows. Select the Update the Printer Option Info Manually radio button and click Settings from the Optional Settings tab The Optional Settings dialog box appears. Set each optional setting for the installed options in this dialog box, click OK to accept the setting.

For Macintosh users
Follow the steps below to print a status sheet:

Make sure that paper is loaded in the printer.
|

Turn on the printer. It is on when the | side of the power switch is pushed in.
|
|
Select Chooser from the Apple menu. Select the AL-C1000 icon, and the port your printer is connected to. Click Setup, and the EPSON Printer Setup dialog box appears.

|
Click Print Status, then the Status Setting dialog box appears.
|
|
Click Status Sheet, and the printer starts printing a status sheet.
|
|
Check that the printer has printed the status sheet clearly and that any installed options are included on the status sheet.
