Troubleshooting
To remove jammed paper, follow these steps:
Turn off the printer. |
Lift the paper tray slightly up and pull it out. Check if there is jammed paper in the paper path. |
Gently pull the jammed paper out. If you are unable to remove the jammed paper, continue with step 4. If you can remove the jammed paper, go to step 9. |
If you have installed the optional Lower Paper Cassette, take the lower paper tray out and check the inside of the paper cassette. |
Open the rear manual feed slot cover and paper path cover. |
If necessary, open the paper guide inside. |
Gently pull the jammed paper out. If you cannot remove the jammed paper, continue with step 8. If you can remove the jammed paper, go to step 9. |
Open the printer cover. Gently pull the jammed paper out. |
Make sure the printer cover, paper guide inside, paper path cover, and rear manual feed slot cover are closed. Turn the printer back on. |
Press the Eject/Continue button to make sure the paper feeds properly. See if any pieces of paper are left inside the printer. |
