Aligning the Print Head
For Windows users
For Macintosh users
If you notice a misalignment of vertical lines, you may be able to solve this problem from your computer using the Print Head Alignment utility in your printer software. Refer to the appropriate section below.

Note:

Do not start the Print Head Alignment utility while printing is in progress; otherwise, your printout may be marred.
|
For Windows users
Follow the steps below to align the print head using the Print Head Alignment utility.

Make sure that A4 or Letter size plain paper is loaded in the sheet feeder.
|

Right-click the printer icon on the taskbar, then select the Print Head Alignment. Or access the printer software, then click the Utility tab and click the Print Head Alignment button.

Follow the on-screen instructions to align the print head.

For Macintosh users
Follow the steps below to align the print head using the Print Head Alignment utility.

Access the printer software and click the Utility icon button, then click the Print Head Alignment button.
