When to use the Remote Control Panel utility
This section gives you an overall introduction to the functions of the Remote Control Panel utility and provides you with instructions on its installation and execution.

The Remote Control Panel utility is the software interface that allows you to select the printer port and make settings you cannot usually make in the printer driver.

Follow the steps below to install the Remote Control Panel utility:
 | Insert the printer software CD-ROM containing the utility into your computer. |
 | Drag the RCP for EPL-5800 icon directly to the desktop or anywhere on the hard disk. |
Follow the steps below to access the Remote Control Panel utility:

| Double-click the RCP for EPL-5800 icon. The Remote Control Panel utility for EPL-5800 dialog box appears. |

| Make the desired settings and click OK when you are finished. |

| Position the mouse over the options that you want more information on. A pop-up help message appears for each item. |
