Clearing Paper Jams

To clear a paper jam, follow these steps:

Turn off the printer.

Open the printer cover.

If continuous paper is loaded in the printer, remove it or tear off the supply at the back of the printer.

Turn the knob on the right side of the printer toward you to eject the paper in the printer. Remove any remaining pieces of paper.

Caution:

Only use the knob to clear paper jams when the printer is off. Otherwise, you may damage the printer or lose the top-of-form or tear-off position.

Close the printer cover.

Caution:

The printer pauses and cannot print when the printer cover is open.

Turn on the printer. Make sure the Paper Out and Pause lights are off.
