About Your Printer Software

The Epson software that comes with your printer includes the printer driver software and EPSON Status Monitor 3.

The printer driver is software that allows your computer to control the printer. You need to install the printer driver so your Windows software applications can take full advantage of the printer's capabilities.

EPSON Status Monitor 3 program allows you to monitor the status of your printer, alerts you when errors occur, and provides you with troubleshooting tips. See Start Here for instructions on how to install EPSON Status Monitor 3.

Before proceeding, make sure you have installed the printer driver on your computer as described in the Start Here.

For FX-2175 users in the Windows 7:
Use the printer driver included with OS, and download the EPSON Status Monitor for the driver included in Windows 7 at the following web site:
