Product Information
If you need to transport your printer some distance, carefully repack it using the original box and packing materials.
Follow these steps to repack the printer in its original packing materials:
 | Warning: |
 | If you have just used the printer, the print head may be hot; let it cool for a few minutes before removing the ribbon cartridge. |
 | Turn off the printer and remove any paper loaded in the printer. |
 | Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet; then disconnect the interface cable from the printer. If an optional cut-sheet feeder is installed, remove it. |
 | Remove the paper guide. Remove the ribbon cartridge as described in steps 3 through 4 of Replacing the ribbon cartridge. Then close the printer cover. |
 | Repack the printer, ribbon cartridge, paper guide, and power cord in the original packing materials and place them in the printer's original box. |
