Using the Buttons
The 3 Buttons ( Start/ Copy/ Scan) feature allows you to scan and send data to a target application with a single press of one of the three buttons on the scanner.
Pressing the Start button on the scanner starts EPSON SMART PANEL for Scanner as default. You can assign a desired application to the Start button in the EPSON SMART PANEL window; pressing the Start button then starts the scanning process and sends data to the application. For more details, see Assigning an application to the Start button.
You can use the Copy button to scan and copy images. The document is scanned and then printed automatically in high quality with a single press of the Copy button on the scanner. For more details, see Using the Copy Button to Copy.
You can use the Scan button to scan an image and then transfer it to Adobe® PhotoDeluxe®. Pressing the Scan button on the scanner starts the scanning process and transfers the scanned image to PhotoDeluxe automatically. For more details, see Using the Scan Button to Scan.
Note for Windows users: |
The 3 Buttons ( Start/ Copy/ Scan) feature is supported by Windows 98 and 2000. You can assign a desired application to the button on the scanner. See Assigning Another Application to the Buttons on Windows for details on setting up the three buttons. |
