Use a IEEE 1284-I compliant parallel interface connector.

ECP mode/Nibble mode

Depending on your computer, the mode setting for the parallel interface may need to be changed. Refer to your computer’s manual to set the parallel interface mode.

USB 1.1

Use a connector that is USB 1.1 compliant.

Note:

Only computers equipped with a USB connector support the USB interface. The printer interface supports USB 1.1. Since USB 2.0 is fully compatible with USB 1.1, you can connect the printer to a USB 2.0 interface.
