Printing with Macintosh

Printer Software Introduction

The printer software which comes with your printer includes a printer driver and printer utilities. The printer driver lets you choose from a wide variety of settings to get the best results from your printer. The printer utilities help you check the printer and keep it in top operating condition.

The printer driver settings and utilities appear in the following dialog boxes.

Dialog Box	Settings and Utilities
Print	Media Type, Mode, Copies, Pages, Color
Page Setup	Paper Size, Paper Source, No Margins, Orientation, Rotate by 180 degrees, Double-Sided Printing, Reduce or Enlarge, Printable Area, Roll Paper Option
Layout	Fit to Page, Watermark, Multi-Page, Print Order
Utility	EPSON Status Monitor, Nozzle Check, Head Cleaning, Print Head Alignment, Printer and Option Information Configuration (dialog box)

These dialog boxes can be accessed as described below.

Dialog Box	How to Access
Print	Click Print on the File menu of your application or click Options in the Page Setup dialog box.
Page Setup	Click Page Setup on the File menu of your application
Layout	Click the Layout icon button in the Print dialog box
Utility	Click the Utility icon button in the Print or Page Setup dialog box

In addition, you can access the dialog boxes below from the Print dialog box.

Dialog Box	How to Access
Background Printing	Click the Background Printing icon button in the Print dialog box
Preview	Click the Preview icon button in the Print dialog box and then click Preview
Save File	Click the Preview icon button in the Print dialog box until the Print button changes into the Save File button and then click the Save File button.

In addition to the printer software information in this guide, you can get more details by clicking the help icon in any of the dialog boxes in the printer software.

If you encounter any problems when using the printer software, refer to the EPSON Technical Support Web Site. To access the Web site from the printer software CD-ROM, insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive and double-click the Technical Support Web Site icon in the EPSON folder.
