Memory Card Access Settings

This section describes how to use the control panel to change the way that computers on the network can access the printer’s memory card slots.

Note:

If you connected the printer to a computer via a USB cable, other computers on the network cannot access the printer’s memory card.

Verify that the printer is turned on.

Note:

Do not turn off the power or unplug the printer while making settings on the control panel. Doing so may cause malfunction.

Setting the network while accessing the memory card may interrupt access.

Enter the Setup mode.

Select Network Settings.

Select File Sharing Setup.

Select Disable or Enable.

Note:

When Enable is selected as the file sharing setting, USB-connected computers cannot access the memory card.

If a warning message screen appears, check the message and then select Yes.
