Aligning the Print Head

If you notice a misalignment of vertical lines, you may be able to solve this problem from your computer with the Print Head Alignment utility, accessed through your printer software or the shortcut icon.

Note:

Do not start the Print Head Alignment utility while printing is in progress; otherwise, your printout may be marred.

There are two ways to access the utility:

Right-click the printer-shaped icon on the Windows taskbar and select Print Head Alignment.

Access the printer software and click the Utility tab, then click the Print Head Alignment button. For details on accessing the printer software, see Accessing the printer software.

After opening the utility, follow the on-screen instructions.
