Other Information
If you need to transport your printer, carefully prepare and repack it as described below using the original box (or a similar box that the printer fits snugly into) and packing materials. Follow the steps below.

Plug in the printer, then turn on the printer. |
Press the ink button. The print head moves to the ink cartridge replacement position, and the power light begins to flash. |

Open the printer cover, then open the cartridge cover. |
To remove all ink cartridges, pinch the sides of each ink cartridge, then lift each cartridge out of the printer. |
Close the cartridge cover, then close the printer cover. |
Press the ink button. The print head returns to the home position. |
Turn off the printer, then unplug the printer. |
Disconnect the interface cable from the printer. |
Remove the paper from the sheet feeder and remove the paper support. |
Open the printer cover again. Secure the ink cartridge holder to the printer with tape as shown below, then close the printer cover. |
Raise the output tray. |
Attach the protective materials to both sides of the printer. |
Repack the printer and power cord in the original box. |
Keep the printer level during transport. |
Be sure to remove the tape from the printer before using it again. |
