Loading Single Sheets of Paper

Follow the steps below to load paper into this product.

Note:

Leave enough space in front of this product for paper to be fully ejected.

Open the output tray and move the feeder guard towards you, then slide out the left edge guide while holding down its locking tab.

Fan a stack of paper, and then tap it on a flat surface to even the edges.

Load the stack of paper with the printable side facing down and resting against the guide of the feeder guard. After standing the stack of paper against the paper support and sliding the left edge guide so that it meets the left edge of the paper, set the feeder guard back.

Note:

Always load paper into the sheet feeder's with its short edge first.

Make sure that the paper stack is flush with or lower than the triangular load-limit mark on the edge guide.

Make sure that the paper is loaded under the tabs inside the edge guides.

If the paper is curled, flatten it or curl it slightly toward the opposite side before loading. Printing on curled paper may cause ink to smear on your printout.
