EPSON

Introduction of Epson Connect

Epson Connect allows you to create a link between your network device (such as a smartphone, tablet PC, portable computer, and so on) and a network-connected printer. You can easily print anywhere, use network scanning, use a Web site storage service, and so on.
The available Epson Connect services and functions vary depending on the model.
You can confirm information, such as the printers that are compatible with the services, available functions, the status of firmware updates, and so on, through the Epson Connect Web site.

Email Print

You can easily print photos and documents by sending them using e-mail to your printer’s e-mail address from any device with an e-mail function. To use this service, you need to have a LAN (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) that is connected to the Internet.

iPrint

iPrint is a complementary application for the iOS and Android operating systems for mobile devices. You can print photos, Web pages, and documents on a network-connected printer from Wi-Fi devices that use the iOS or Android operating system. If your printer is a multifunctional printer, you can save data to your device using the printer’s scanner.
To use this service, you need to download and install the free iPrint application to your mobile device. You can download the iPrint application from the App Store and the Android Market. For more information about iPrint, visit the Epson Connect Web site.

Setting up Epson Connect or other network print services

If your printer supports Epson Connect or the network print services provided by other companies (such as AirPrint or Google Cloud Print), and your printer, computer, mobile device, or other device is connected to a LAN that is connected to the Internet, you can set up these services after completing the printer’s initial setup.
Note:
When using AirPrint to print with an AirPrint-compatible printer, use iOS 5.x or later. The printer may not print normally with iOS 4.x. If you are using iOS 4.x, upgrade the operating system to iOS 5.x or later.

From a computer using Download Navigator

You can download the latest software (such as the Epson Connect Printer Setup tool or the printer’s firmware) from the Epson Web site using the Download Navigator. The Download Navigator is installed together with the printer software to your computer.
Start the Download Navigator as follows:
For Windows: Click the Start button or start, All Programs or Programs, Epson Software, and then Download Navigator.
For Macintosh: Double-click Macintosh HD, Applications, Epson Software, and then the Download Navigator icon.
Note:
If the Download Navigator is not installed, reinsert the software disc into the computer, select Epson Driver and Utilities (Windows) or Download Navigator (Macintosh) from the software items list, and then install the Download Navigator.
You can also download the software from the Epson Web site.

From the printer’s Web page using a mobile device

You can also make settings to Epson Connect and the network print services provided by other companies using a mobile device (such as a smartphone or tablet PC) by accessing the printer’s Web page using a Web browser.
The Web page’s functions and items that you can set vary depending on the model. For details about how to display the Web page embedded in the printer, see Web Page Embedded in the Printer.
Note:
If you want to make settings to Epson Connect or other network print services, update the printer’s firmware to the latest version before making the settings.
