Tractor Select Front indicator

On when the front tractor is selected. The light is green when paper is loaded, and red when the tractor is out of paper.

Tractor Select Rear indicator

On when the rear tractor is selected. The light is green when paper is loaded, and red when the tractor is out of paper.

Front/Rear button

Selects the front or rear tractor. If you have been using paper loaded on one tractor, first remove the printed output before pressing this button to switch the tractor.

Font (Item) button

• Selects one of the fonts. To select a font, see Selecting a Font and Pitch.

• When the printer enters the SelecType mode and default-setting mode, the button works as an Item button. You can press the Item button to select the previous menu. See Changing the printer's settings for details.

Reset

When you press both the Font and Pitch buttons simultaneously, the printer clears buffer and returns to its default settings.

Pitch (Item) button

• Selects one of the pitch settings. To select a pitch, see Selecting a Font and Pitch.

• When the printer enters the SelecType mode and default-setting mode, the button works as an Item button. You can press the Item button to select the next menu. See Changing the printer's settings for details.

Tear Off (Set) button

• Feeds continuous paper forward to the tear-off position.

• When the printer enters the SelecType mode and default setting mode, the button works as the Set button. You can press the Set button to select the previous value of a setting item. See Changing the printer's settings for details.

Tear Off light

On when the paper is in the tear-off position.

Menu

When you press the Tear Off and Top of Form buttons at the same time, the printer enters or exits the SelecType mode and you can set the various printer settings. See Changing the settings in the SelecType mode for details.

Top of Form (Set) button

• Enters the top-of-form position mode and sets the new top-of-form position after it has been adjusted with the Micro Feed buttons.

• When the printer enters the SelecType mode and default setting mode, the button works as the Set button. You can press the Set button to select the next value of a setting item. See Changing the printer's settings for details.

Top of Form light

On when the printer is in the top-of-form and tear-off modes.

LF/FF Load button

• Loads continuous paper when the printer is out of paper.

• Feeds paper line by line when pressed briefly.

• Advances continuous paper to the next top-of-form position when held down for a few seconds.

Micro Feed buttons

Adjust the paper position, such as the top-of-form position and tear-off position.

Pause button

Stops printing temporarily, and resumes printing when pressed again.

Pause light

• On when the printer is paused.

• Flashes when the print head overheats.

Paper Out light

• On when the printer is out of paper.

• Flashes when paper jams or the printer fails to eject paper.
