Before using your printer, read the information that is different from your User's Guide.

Accessing the printer driver

The table below describes how to access the printer driver dialog boxes.

Dialog Box

How to Access

Page Setup

Click Page Setup on the File menu of your application.

Note:

Depending on your application, the Page Setup menu may not appear on the File menu.

Print

Click Print on the File menu of your application.

EPSON Printer Utility3

Double-click the EPSON Printer Utility3 icon in the Applications folder in Macintosh HD. Select the printer from the Printer List, then click OK.

Printing photos

Open the file you want to print.

Access the Print dialog box.

Click the button to extend this dialog box.

Select the printer you are using as the Printer setting, and then make suitable settings.


Note:
  • Depending on your application, you may not be able to select some of the items in this dialog box. If so, click Page Setup on the File menu of your application, and then make suitable settings.

  • Select XXX (Sheet Feeder - Borderless) if you want to print borderless photos.

Select Print Settings from the pop-up menu.

Make the settings that you want to use to print. See online help for details of Print Settings.


Note:

You can control the amount of the image that extends beyond the edges of the paper during borderless printing. See online help for details.

Printing documents

Open the file you want to print.

Access the Print dialog box.

Click the button to extend this dialog box.

Select the printer you are using as the Printer setting, and then make suitable settings.


Note:

Depending on your application, you may not be able to select some of the items in this dialog box. If so, click Page Setup on the File menu of your application, and then make suitable settings.

Select Print Settings from the pop-up menu.

Make the settings that you want to use to print. See online help for details of Print Settings.

Printing on envelopes

Open the file you want to print.

Access the Print dialog box.

Click the button to extend this dialog box.

Select the printer you are using as the Printer setting, and then select a suitable envelope size as the Paper Size setting. You can also define a custom envelope size. For details, see the online help.

Select Landscape as the Orientation setting.


Note:

Depending on your application, you may not be able to select some of the items in this dialog box. If so, click Page Setup on the File menu of your application, and then make suitable settings.

Select Print Settings from the pop-up menu.

Make the settings that you want to use to print. See online help for details of Print Settings.

Fit to page printing

Access the Print dialog box.

Click the button to extend this dialog box.

Select the printer you are using as the Printer setting, and then make suitable settings.


Note:

Depending on your application, you may not be able to select some of the items in this dialog box. If so, click Page Setup on the File menu of your application, and then make suitable settings.

Select Paper Handling from the pop-up menu.

Select the Scale to fit paper size.

Select Print Settings from the pop-up menu.

Make the settings that you want to use to print. See online help for details of Print Settings.

Pages per sheet printing

Access the Print dialog box.

Click the button to extend this dialog box.

Select the printer you are using as the Printer setting, and then make suitable settings.


Note:

Depending on your application, you may not be able to select some of the items in this dialog box. If so, click Page Setup on the File menu of your application, and then make suitable settings.

Select Layout from the pop-up menu.

Select from the following settings:

Pages per Sheet

Prints multiple pages of your document on a single piece of paper. You can choose from 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, or 16.

Layout Direction

Allows you to specify the order in which the pages will be printed on the sheet of paper.

Border

Prints a border around the pages printed on each sheet. You can choose from None, Single hairline, Single thin line, Double hairline, or Double thin line.


Select Print Settings from the pop-up menu.

Make the settings that you want to use to print. See online help for details of Print Settings.

Checking the ink cartridge status

The printer monitor window appears automatically when you start a print job. You can check the ink cartridge status from this window.

Note:

When an ink cartridge is running low, the Low Ink Reminder window automatically appears. You can also check the ink cartridge status from this window. If you do not want to display this window, select the Preferences menu from the Application menu when the Low Ink Reminder window is displayed, and then clear the Enable Low Ink Reminder check box.
